Education objectives
General Objective
These courses aim at training researchers to became able to design and develop original scientific projects independently, contributing to the critical mass of institutions and increase the number of researchers, both in the country and in Europe.
Specific Objectives
1. Understanding the molecular, cellular and physiological mechanisms, either the normal human body or of diseases or groups of diseases;
2. Develop and investigate cellular and animal models of human disease;
3. Study the mechanisms of diseases or groups of diseases;
4. Contribute to the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation;
5. Promote translational medicine through the development and application of new technologies for the benefit of patients;
6. Develop other technologies to promote better health care;
7. Promote the health of populations;
8. study of epidemiological aspects of population health in general and some of its characteristics;
9. Develop interventions, programs, services and health policies
Degree pre-requisites
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Life Sciences - Licenciatura (Bachelor Degree); Master Degree or legal equivalent in
Life Sciences.
In order to obtain the PhD degree, students have to achieve:
35 ECTS - Curricular Units
10 ECTS - Seminars
195 ECTS - Thesis
