Objectives
The main objective of this course is to approach the fundamentals and techniques of molecular biology applications for protein analysis.
With this unit, it is intended that students understand how various techniques of isolation, separation, identification and functional characterization of proteins, including enzyme activity assays, converge and complement each other in solving practical scientific issues. It is also intended that students acquire a critical perspective on the methodologies employed and respective results, working hands-on and interpreting experimental results obtained from the application of different techniques.
