Objectives
· To understand the main biological features of the cancer cell
· To know the incidence and mortality of the most frequent cancers and their risk factors
· To acquire general principles of surgical oncology, radiation therapy and systemic treatment of cancer
· To recognize the clinical presentation, diagnostic evaluation, staging and principles of treatment of the most frequent cancers
· To recognize the manifestations, evaluation and treatment of specific cancer complications: neutropenic fever, cord compression, cancer pain.

Evaluation method
A multiple choice written exam, with 50 questions with a single correct answer lasting 1 hour, is scheduled at the end of each semester (first call, February 6th and July 3th, respectively). A score of 25 or higher is required for approval. The 2nd call (July 9th) and the special call (July 23th) are oral exams (or a multiple choice written exam, depending on the number of candidates)
