Objectives

The course aims to give students a wide understanding of the main theoretical and methodological developments in the study of the History of International Relations, as well as of the major findings of recent empirical research

Subject matter

1. Synthesis of the great political and diplomatic events in the ambit of the History of the International Relations of the XVIII and XIX centuries.
2. Detailed analysis of the main political and diplomatic events in the History of the International Relations of the XX century.

Teaching method

In the first half of the semester the classes will be given integrally by the teacher. In the second half classes can exist where the presentation of essays by students can be admitted. These presentations should not exceed 15 minutes and in each class only three essays can be presented (in a total of 45 minutes)

Evaluation method

1st - Oral exam on any point of the program to accomplish in the end of the semester (the obtained note is worth 60% of the
final classification)
2nd - Test on any point of the program to accomplish in the end of the semester (the obtained note is worth 40% of the final
classification)
The assiduity won´t have any repercussion in the final classification

Courses
