Objectives
a) To provide a profound knowledge of Brazilian literary history problems;
b) To read and analyze some of the Brazilian modernists;
c) To revise Portuguese common knowledge about Brazilian Literature.

1. Brazilian Modernism and the Structure of Brazilian XXth Literary Century;
2. Revising Modernism: the 1950´s and the new Brazilian poetry;
3. Fiction as revision: the «romance de 30».
4. Readings on Graciliano Ramos, Cyro dos Anjos, Carlos Drummond de Andrade and João Cabral de Melo Neto.
