Objectives
a) To know the French Romanticism and to be abre to relate it to similar movements from other European literatures and cultures;
b) Know how to identify some of the characteristic elements of the start of modernity;
c) To be able to link the typical texts of the period with literary analysis;
d) To have the critical ability to analyse theoretical thinking, knowing how to link certain concepts with the reading of the works studied in the syllabus.

Theoretical analysis on the different points of the programme. Close reading of texts with students. Tutorial guidance, with a view to preparing research work.
Evaluation method
2 tests - 60%; 1 assignment- 30%; Attendance and/or participation - 10%.
