Objectives
a) Acquire knowledge regarding the debates which are currently taking place in Francophone Studies;
b) Be able to critically read theoretical texts, learning to incorporate new concepts in the analysis of works;
c) Being able to organize a bibliography in the field of studies on Francophone Studies in carrying out a critical reading of one of the works on the programme.
Prerequisites
Intermediate level knowledge of the French language.

2. Francophone Literatures and Literary History: from the national and linguistic issue to the literary universes defined by multicultural and transnational communities
3. Literary journeys in a global world
3.1. The «négritude» myth: Léopold Senghor, Aimé Césaire e Léon Damas
3.2. Peau noire, masques blancs by Franz Fanon and the deconstruction of a black essence

Theoretical analysis on the different points of the programme. Close reading of texts with students. Tutorial guidance, with a view to preparing research work.
Evaluation method
2 tests - 60%; 1 assignment- 30%; Attendance and/or participation - 10%.
Worker-Students should contact the teacher in the first two weeks of classes in order to establish a work programme.
