To analyse textual features of different text types prior to their translation
To apply adequate research techniques according to the text in question
To manage the specific terminology of the text
To produce acceptable translations (at the formal and functional level)

Teaching method
1 - Different kinds of exercises in class (application of previously explained key concepts)
2 - Commented translations of previously prepared texts of different types (with justification of translational choices)
3 - Commented translation of a specific text (final individual work)
4- Written test
Evaluation method
Continuous evaluation, with no final examination, together with active participation in the work set; items 1, 2, 3 and 4 (above mentioned in Teaching methods) have equal weighting.
