Objectives
The Virtual Worlds course is based on a set of seminars on technologies associated to the Web, virtual worlds, augmented reality, and intelligent objects. The students are encouraged to develop prototypes, and also pitch presentations for potential clients/investors.

Introduction. Idea generation. Collective intelligence, Virtual reality. Augmented reality. Intelligent objects. Robotics. Ubiquitous computing. Technologies and new storytelling approaches. Prototyping (software). Prototyping (hardware). Business plans. Crowdfunding. Future developments. Presentation of final projects.

Teaching method
This course is designed to inspire creation and then to teach how to create prototypes. The lecture, reading and evaluation components are the three stage approach required to accomplish those goals.
Evaluation method
The evaluation is based on the development of a prototype.
