Teaching method

The first part of the Curriculum Unit will be devoted to presenting theoretical notions and basic
methodologies to consider the legal system from a sociological point of view (see syllabus). The second part is given over to a discussion of sociological research (in a broad sense) recently carried out in Portugal, regarding aspects of how the legal system functions and its relationships with society, with the students carrying out critical analyses of publications based on this research.

Evaluation method

To successfully be approved in this Curriculum Unit, each participant should carry out an individual practical assignment to apply the theoretical knowledge studied in the Curriculum Unit.
