Objectives
In this course, students will be introduced to two different areas of journalism, mainly Business Journalism and Cultural Journalism. The two modules of this course will be taught by two different teachers, both professional journalists in their area of expertise.
In this course, it is expected that students:
1) understand the main characteristics of the journalistic beats to be studied;
2) can identify the main challenges of these journalism beats;
3) will be able to produce high quality journalistic texts in both these areas.

Subject matter
The syllabus of this course will cover: a) the history of Business and Cultural Journalism; b) the present situation and significance of Business and Cultural Journalism; c) the main characteristics of both areas of journalism; d) the most frequent types of text in both areas; e) the production of journalistic texts in both areas

A bibliografia específica será distribuída por cada um dos docentes nos respectivos módulos.
Teaching method
The course will combine theoretical exposition with collective discussion of journalistic texts produced by students.
Evaluation method
Evaluation results from two elements:
Two final essays (one Business, one Cultural) related with the course contents (50% each);
