Objectives

1) Understand the inter-relations between the development of transport systems and spatial organization;
2) Develop theoretical and practical knowledge about the transport systems and urban mobility;
3) Develop critical thinking about problems related to urban transport and mobility;
4) Mastering essential methods and techniques for participation and development studies and plans of transport and mobility;
5) Conceptualize solutions in the organization of transport systems and urban mobility

None.

Subject matter

a) Introduction: the problem of mobility;
b) The fundamental concepts;
c) Interaction: transport, land use and environment;
d) Technical characteristics of networks and transport modes;
e) Legal framework of transport;
f) The challenges of urban mobility;
g) Transport policies and parking;
h) The logistics and freight transport.
i) The transportation studies and Mobility Plans;
j) Concepts and techniques inherent in the design, planning and operation of transportation systems.
