Objectives
a) To characterize the global evolution of the disciplinary tradition
b) To identify the historiographical groups by theme / epoch/ method
c)To identify the subjects and debates of current research
d) To teach the use of online resources of research centres, specialized presses, congresses and seminaries, in order to characterize the current research
e) To teach how to define a study programme in the area/ subject/ conceptual vision of the historiography concerning the Middle Ages, comprising the state of the art and the debate of future research
f) To teach methods of written and oral exposition of the scientific research

Teaching method
- 40% of theoretical classes (oral explanation of the syllabus)
- 60% practical classes (classroom reading, analysis and debate of historiographical texts and historical sources; oral presentations by the students, commented by the teacher)
Evaluation method
An essay (about 20 pages) on an historiographical text and its oral presentatiom in classroom.
