Objectives
a) Identify and incorporate the structure and dynamics of work process in Information Science.
b) To allow a supervised professional practice in libraries´ information systems, with particular attention to resources management, information/documentation organization and processing and the satisfaction of internal and external users needs.
c) Promote a critical reflection on theoretical, practical and ethical demands placed to information professionals.

Subject matter
The course content will be adapted to the specific issues experienced by students, explored through two key perspectives:
1. Professional skills and knowledge development in organizational context, from both theoretical and practical standpoints.
2. Learning self assessment through professional reflection in a variety of information related services.

Evaluation method
The assessment is based on the submission of a professional practices portfolio produced in organizational context (50%), complemented by the local tutor assessment (50%).
