Objectives
1. To understand the political and administrative organization of the Portuguese State, under the territorial and power exercise perspective;
2. To acquire knowledge on the Public Administration and Portuguese regional policies;
3. To develop the ability to analyse the disparities and redundancies of the current model of political-administrative division of the Portuguese territory - Municipalities, metropolitan areas,
intermunicipal entities, autonomous regions of the Azores and Madeira and municipal companies;
4. To identify the fragilities of the current model of local government vis-à-vis the territorial dynamics of cities in a time of globalization and the Europe of Regions;
5. To create scenarios of regionalization in Portugal.
