Objectives
a) Use the Portuguese experience of migration to think about the social construction of the law;
b) Capacitate students to work in teams working on diversity \"management\" institutions - public and private ,
voluntary or for profit, national and international;
c) Enable students to do research in a semi-autonomous way.

Teaching method
Some classes are based on theoretical exposés and others on practical exercises. The former consist in 3 introductory sessions, and 9 presentations on specific topics by invited speakers; the latter on students´ presentation and discussion of their projected essay or research plan.
Evaluation method
Evaluation and weighting for the final grade: continuous evaluation of the student´s participation in classes (25%); presentation in class of the projected essay or working programme (25%); written essay or work programme (50%).
Formulas for calculating ratings:
Rating Attendance: CF = 0.25+0.25xAPxTPOxTPE+0.50 (rounded to the nearest unit).
Rating Appeal: CR = (CF + ER) / 2 (rounded to the nearest unit).
