Objectives
Knowledge of the hierarchy and compatibility among different policies of territorial planning, environmental and sectorial policies;
Knowledge about territorial change, land use, space classification for planning, and the patterns of urban growth;
Capacity for critical analysis on conflicts concerning landuse and ´lanscape´;
Introduction to Geographic Information Systems;
Application of territorial indicators and census data at various scales.
Critical analysis of the concepts of globalization and national sovereignty.
