Objectives

It is intended that students acquire:
1. Knowledge of specific placements of the actors of the school context: teachers, students, school staff, parents, local politicians and other actors;
2. The ability to analyze the internal social dynamics of the school and its relationship with the community;
3. The ability to identify the theoretical assumptions present in (1) and (2);
4. The capability to articulate the school policies decentralized from government to the autarchies and school and local policies with the schools context;
5. The ability to identify and characterize specific situations in schools and, from there, to define appropriate strategies for research and professional intervention in this context: inequality, injustice, humiliation phenomena, sociability and exercise of political socialization.

Prerequisites

Subject matter

1. Condition and teacher´s craft and student. Crisis of educational systems and of the teaching profession, the centrality of the student and the effects of acts of school pedagogization - from educational crises to compensation policies.
2. School social dynamics: from sociability to political socialization.
3. School and historic retreat of local communities: central policies, relocation policy for municipalities, new school territorializations, school clusters and schools policies
4. School, families, Politician and Media: from the ideal of full participation to the real intervention dynamics of actors and collective in schools.
