Teaching method
The postgraduate seminars are both theoretical and practical with a strong interactive component on the part of the students. The teaching methodologies are based on three main areas: 1) exercises (application of key concepts on pragmatic texts, after they have been explained in class); 2) commented translations of previously prepared pragmatic texts (justifying translational options); and 3) commented translation of a pragmatic text of average difficulty (final individual work).
Evaluation method
Assessment will be ongoing, with no final examination, involving real participation in the work. Items 1), 2) and 3) above mentioned have identical weighting in the final mark, that is, 30%, 30% and 40% respectively.
