Objectives
1) To develop linguistic, extra-linguistic and terminological proficiency with a view to carrying out scientific translation.
2) To develop autonomous skills in scientific translation and revision with the help of specific software, including CAT tools.
3) To analyse the individual translation process through the critical examination of the individual cognitive process with the help of screenrecording software and the use of suitable techniques to improve the same.
4) To become more knowledge-based and more learned in terminological research techniques, documentation, creation and management of terminological resources with the help of specific tools.
5) To develop critical thinking skills for translation practice and research.

Teaching method
The teaching methodologies will be based on theoretical and practical classes, using information and communication technologies, specific translation tools, academic and terminological databases, as well as digital library resources to provide support for research and practice in translation studies.
Evaluation method
Assessment will focus on three main areas: 1) a written test (35%); 2) an individual translation with comments (35%); and 3) a group terminological project (30%).
