Objectives

This course aims to continue de deep treatment of a core constituent questions of fundamental knowledge in the area of Communication Sciences. It is understood therefore that the issues raised are transversal to the areas of research in their speciality. It may check the status and development of language as a subject and an epistemic mediation of knowledge itself. Taking a starting point on the distinction between natural and formal languages, it will be discussed the multiplicity of languages in their status of mediation and communication configuration.

Subject matter

The modular organization gives a character essential to the diverse approaches of specialists or doctoral career either foreign guests who participate in seminar. Will be integrated topics such as: the status of semiotics regime of signs; pragmatic view of relational discourse; the device of image in communication. Other theme will be included resulting from participation of guests to ensure different modules.

Teaching method

The curriculum unit will be comprised of one or two sessions, with contents autonomous, although in a line overall cohesion. Each session or group of sessions will be preceded by a script in which the responsible presents its proposal theme, completed with bibliography and/or provided supporting texts that will be discussed , upon presentation, by all the participants.
Encouraging participation and discussion in the workshop environment.

Evaluation method

Final presentation of a paper (oral and written) about topic presented previously.
