Objectives
1. To know the different theoretical and methodological perspectives in corpus linguistics
2. To distinguish between the different methodologies in the constitution of corpora: literary and specialised
3. To know and use the tools for semi-automatic and automatic corpus treatment
4. To learn how to analyze a specialised corpus for work in Terminology and Translation
5. To integrate the systematic use of corpora in the students work habits in terminology and translation.

Teaching method
Lectures and practices, based on exposure of the syllabus and seminar presentation and discussion of
selected texts in each module. In addition to classes, reading the literature of the program, each student will
develop a theoretical essay, with accompanying tutorial, which he should give substance to a chosen
reflection between the formulations presented and fosters an interdisciplinary view on the phenomenon in
question.
Evaluation method
The evaluation of the student shall be the sum of the monitoring activities of asset classes and
discussion of the texts presented (50%) and the final report resulting from a unique reflection of its developed
and discussed with the teachers (50%).
