b) To interact in a limited number of situations which appear in everyday contexts.

d) To be able to use the Italian language in communicative situations.
e) To interact in communicative situations which require an independent use of the language.
f) To use the language applying grammar rules.

Subject matter

Subject matters
1) Interactive activities: personal and family information, exchange basic information, role plays in everyday environments (in the clothes shop, at the bank, at the post office).
2) Descriptions, purchases, journeys, holidays, the weather, adjectives.
3) Personal pronouns for direct objects, family ties, possessive and demonstrative adjectives.
4) Tenses: IL FUTURO, L’IMPERFETTO e relative avverbi e preposizioni di tempo.
5) Some irregular verbs and some connectives.

Teaching method

The course will be based on the functional-communicative method in order to enhance the spoken aspect of the language and improve the pupil-teacher relationship. The contents will be presented according to a “multi-syllabus” system that integrates grammar, lexicon, functions, communication and the development of reading and speaking abilities.

Evaluation method

Evaluation: 2 final tests (50%), 1 mid-term test + individual works (40%), active participation in the classroom (10%).
