Objectives
a) be able to master the basic concepts and methodologies in the language production and comprehension areas;
b) be able to reflect on current interfaces between Psycholinguistics and other scientific areas ;
c) to acquire knowledge about the main types of lexical access models, the factors that influence pt, as well as on oral production pathologies

1. introduction:
1.1. Defining the object of study of psycholinguistics;
1.2. Interfaces with other scientific areas
2. Models of language production and comprehension;
2.1. Underlying assumptions of sequential interactive and cascading models;
2.2. Components of a sequential model: from conceptualization to articulation;
2. 3. The lexical access;
2.3.1. Definition of ´internal lexicon´;
2.3.2. Factors that facilitate access to the lexicon;
2.3.3. Models of lexical access
3. Psycholinguistics and aphasia;
3.1. Definition of aphasia; clinical linguistics and aphasia: linguistic and anatomical description of major types;
3.2. Differentiating parameters of different types of aphasia;
3.3. The naming test by visual confrontation: cognitive components involved and associated deficits;
3.4. Paraphasic types of errors;
3.5. Oral language disorders.

Teaching method
Lectures on program topics (lectures); classes focused on the analysis of pathological linguistic data. Video analysis.
Evaluation method
Two tests (with 50% value each) that result in a final grade.
Students must attend 70% of the total number of classes
