Objectives
The aim of this seminar is to enable students to know historiographic traditions from several areas of Art History and relevant bibliography both national and international. The seminar will also discuss the main and more recent historiographic debates as well as research questions concerning art history.

Subject matter
This seminar will discuss theoretical approaches related to research that are common to all Art History.

Teaching method
The sessions involve a presentation by the invited teachers staff and experts. The presentation will be followed by a debate with the doctoral students, stimulated by their current research activities.
Evaluation method
Evaluation includes a monthly working paper on one of the topics covered in the sessions (5 pages) and a final essay at the end of the seminar (15 pages).
