Objectives
- To draw the orthogonal projections of a particular piece.
- To choose the sectioning planes and their cutting surfaces, necessary for a perfect understanding of the drawing.
- To recognize the drawing elements that must not be cutted and represent them.
- To recognize the drawing elements where dimensioning must be done.
- To draw the orthogonal projections of a particular piece, using a CAD software tool.
- To buid a 3D model from the orthogonal projections of a particular piece, using a CAD software tool.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of drawing and geometry.
Basic knowledge of the Microsoft Windows 7 / 8 operative system.

Teaching method
Classes will include a theory part, followed by the execution of exercise drawings or the drawing of a small metallic piece.
Evaluation method
Continuous valuation (Basic TD):
- 2 tests (T1, T2).
- Exemption of final exam: arithmetic average of T1 + T2 superior to 9,5 marks, none of them inferior to 7,0 marks.
Valuation with final exam (Basic TD):
- Exam (E).
Valuation of CAD:
- One Valuation (OV).
Final valuation:
- With exemption of final exam: (2/3)*[(T1+T2/2]+(1/3)*OV.
- Without exemption of final exam: (2/3)*E+(1/3)*OV.
