Objectives

Provide students with knowledge and training in urban planning interventions with
contents and elements of work necessary to understanding, defining and evaluating the result of the intervention process over the territory. At the end of the course the student should possess the following skills:

1 - Mastering the methods of urban design at the level of physical planning;

2 - Learn to select the specific methodologies for each phase of the project (analysis, diagnosis, scenario building, selection and evaluation of alternative solutions);

3 - Develop and realize solutions to solve the program at different scales and areas of expertise;

4 - Coordinate the design solutions with the principles of sustainable development as their support scenarios and simulations;
5 – Knowledge to understand and evaluate results of project proposals

Teaching method

In theoretical-practical classes (4h/week) the theoretical issues are presented and explained to students and at the end of each subchapter those issues are applied to solve academic problems.

Evaluation method

Assessment is continuous and is performed through individual project work during the semester (TP). The final grade is obtained by the note of the different stages of the project and presentations. The final grade (NF) is the result of NF = 0.30 1st 0.30 2nd Presentation + 0.30 3rd presentation and 0.10 evaluation by external jury classification.

The final rating is expressed on a scale of 0 to 20.

Obtaining Frequency: presence of at least two thirds of the classes.
