Objectives
The aim of the course is to provide the mathematic students with a background in Classic Physics, Relativity and Modern Physics.

Teaching method
The lectures consist: of a brief but clarifying presentation of topics; deep discussion of the main concepts using the “Peer-Instruction” method developed by Prof. Eric Mazur from Harvard University; and problem solving.
Evaluation method
Every other lecture every student takes a Reading Test to check if materials for that class were studied. The “frequência” in the course is obtained if the student obtains a minimum score in the Reading Tests.
During the semester each student takes three tests. The average of these test correspond to the final grade.
