Objectives
Uppon conclusion of this course the sudents will be able to:
-develop simulation models for dynamic systems using a combination of parametric and non-parametric methods
-validate dynamic models
-design and execute experiments for collecting dynamic systems data for modeling and model validation

Prerequisites
Systems theory:
• dynamic systems time behavior
• dynamic systems frequency behavior
Computers:
• data acquisition
• basic programming
• Matlab programming (or similar)
Basic understanding on numerical methods.
Subject matter
The model and its purpose.
Modeling approaches: Physical based; non-poarametric modeling; parametric modeling.
Non-parametric modeling:the data. Modeling. Validation.
Parameter estimation methods. Polynomial models.
Physical based modeling: mechanical and thermodynamic systems. Identification and parameter evaluation. The data.
Simulation: Numerical integration methods. PDE systems.
Tools: Matlab-Simulink, LabView,Scilab-Xcos.
