Objectives
The realization of a scientific dissertation or project work, unique and especially made for this purpose.
Subject matter
The dissertation will be developed over two phases. The first will be held in the third semester of the course, through studies, trials and literature reviews, enabling the acquisition of knowledge that allow students to better understand the topic of the dissertation.
This phase will run concurrently with other courses and will culminate with a report subject to assessment - Thesis Plan.
In the second phase, inherent in the fourth semester of the course, students will devote themselves exclusively to the work necessary for the preparation of the final version of the dissertation.
Bibliography
There are several areas within Environmental Engineering in which the student might focus his thesis development. Therefore the bibliography will be different in accordance with the research issue. Scientific texts proposed by the supervisor and intense bibliographic research, are recommended in order to establish the state of the art.

Evaluation method
Public discussion of the dissertation in the presence of a duly approved jury.
