Objectives
The main goal is the knowledge of the methods, principles and laws taught in the scope of the discipline, to allow a theoretical and practical approach of problems and questions of the forum of fluvial hydraulics, and the hydraulic structures more frequently associated to the hydraulic schemes.
Subject matter
1. Complements of open-channel flow hydraulics.
2. Sediments: physical properties; soil erosion; erosion control; sediment transport; sediments in reservoirs.
3. River morphology. River bed flow resistance. River training / restoration of alluvial river beds. Canal stability.
4. Floods and flood control structures.
5. Hydraulic structures: design and operation.
6. Environmental impacts of impounded rivers; restoration processes. Local erosions.

Evaluation method
Students of the course are evaluated continuously throughout the semester.
The final grade (FG), between 0 and 20, is the result of weighing between the results of 2 tests (T1 and T2) and two reports (TP1 and TP2) in accordance with the following formula:
NF = 0,3 x T1 + 0,3 x T2 + 0.2 x TP1 + 0,2 x TP2
The tests'''' score can be replaced by one from a final exam.
