Teaching method
Lectures sessions with datashow. Experimental laboratory sessions and solving problems sets. The learning methodologies include an oral theme presentation in theoretical sessions. The laboratorial sessions are dedicated to the execution of the analytical methodologies to produce liquid biofuels and the theoretical-practical sessions are dedicated case studies analysis and solving exercises/problems, in order to consolidate the acquired knowledge and the individual and group´s presentation and reasoning by the students’ proactive participation.
Evaluation method
According the FCT´s assessment rules the curricular unit has a continuous assessment realized at three assessed times. Two assessed time are constituted by an individual test with a 25%, contribution each one to final classification and one assessed time for practical work with a 50% contribution to final classification. The non-approved students do a final resort exam. The curricular unit approval, continuous assessment or final exam, requires a minimum classification of 9.5 values (out of 20 values).
