Objectives

In this course Mathmatics BSc students are introduced to the first concepts of Operations Research. The course will introduce students to the following O.R. subjects: Linear Programming, Inventory Models, Project Management, Decision Theory and Simulation.

Prerequisites

Students should have basic knowledge of Linaer Algebra and Probability Theory.

Teaching method

Classes take place in a computer room, allowing students to apply and develop the topics studied.

Students have a text book and a set of exercises.

Final grade is the sum of the 3 Tests grades. An additional project and/or oral exam is required for grades above 17.

Students should attend at least 2/3 of the lessons. There are 3 tests during the semester and one exam afterwards.
