Objectives
At the end of the course, the candidate should hold a deep knowledge of the main selected methods considerer more relevant in his ongoing research work including the technical characteristics, main assumptions and achievable goals for each of the selected techniques, as well as, their use in actual scientific works published in scientific relevant databases.

Teaching method
The discipline is carried out by combining an expository part in plenary sessions and an applied component, in tutorial sessions, involving tracking work and self -study.
