Objectives
To introduce students to the world of Labour Law, by seeking to make them aware of its political, economic and social relevance and to familiarize them with its autonomy and specific legal techniques;
· To provide them with the information necessary in order to enable to have a knowledge of current Portuguese Labour Law and give them an idea of its essential features and most relevant aspects and enable them to handle any specific case in real life with which they are confronted;
· To place them at the heart of the current developments in this branch of the law and to enable them to have a critical view of the actual law and the possible evolution thereof.
Subject matter
The plan of the course is the following: Introduction. Sources of labour law. Employment contract regime – celebration; content; modifications; extinction.
