Teaching method
1. The lectures are based on dialogue with students and are often illustrated with practical exercises and case law analysis on the subjects taught.
2. Some topics will be offered in collaboration with the National Institute of Industrial Property, the Commercial Court of Lisbon and other law enforcers in the study area of the discipline. The purpose is to promote as much as possible students’ interaction with these entities and enable, at an early stage, strict contact with the analysis of real problems.
3. Given the time limits of the Course, students will be incentivized to work in small groups (no more than 2 persons) and prepare presentations on certain specific topics, which will be discussed in class
4. The evaluation will consist of:
· a final exam, written and individual;
· or presentation of a written essay (individual), complemented by a brief presentation of the topic in class (individual or collective – maximum 2 students). In the latter case, students always retain the possibility of taking the final exam, in which case the final grade will correspond to the grade of the exam (even if increased by the grade obtained in the essay)
5. Active participation in class, particularly in the resolution of practical cases and analysis of case law, will also be taken into consideration in the final grade.
