Objectives

The objective of this course is to make students familiar with the essence of entrepreneurship. In
particular, by the end of the course, the students shall be able to understand the role of entrepreneurship in
the world economy as well as challenges and opportunities it represents for individuals becoming firsttime
entrepreneurs. This course will also help students develop practical tools and knowledge that they
could use in their future entrepreneurial path or other career they decide to pursue. Considering that in
order to survive and prosper in the highly competitive environment of today even established
organizations need to be ´entrepreneurial´, the insights and skills gained in this class will be helpful even
to those students who choose to join an established firm rather than creating a company of their own.

Subject matter

The class will encourage active discussion and participation of students in discussing reading material,
solving case-studies and other assignments aimed at helping them foster their entrepreneurial, analytical
and presentation skills. The students will develop their entrepreneurial skills through team work and
business planning related assignments.
