Objectives
To analyze and discuss the ethical and legal issues raised by advances in life sciences and biomedicine.
Subject matter
Advanced concepts for Bioethics and Biolaw;
Ethical and legal problems posed in the following areas: biological products banks (biobanks), genetic testing, stem cell, embryo research, assisted reproduction, cloning, transplants, clinical trials, nanotechnology applied to health care, euthanasia, artificial cessation support life and other related matters.

Teaching method
- The teaching is based on research work produced by the students, which will then be presented and discussed during the classes.
- Topics which have a scientific component will be complemented with basic theoretical sessions with visiting scientists (e.g. seminars on cloning, genetics, nanotechnology, stem cells)
Evaluation method
Assessment: Attendance and collaboration in the classroom (10%); Presentation of the working group (60%), including each of its individual elements (30%)
