Objectives
At the end of this Course the students should be able to:
- Recognize the aspects of Labour Law, an integrated perspective with the other branches of knowledge, which impact particularly in contexts relating to Health Safety of workers at the workplace;
- Perceive and identify the elements that characterize the different types of relationships;
- Know the structure and interaction of various legal proceedings and social actors in resolving disputes;
- Understand the procedural aspects of the assessment and repair the damage in respect of accidents at work and occupational diseases.
Prerequisites
Attend the Occupational Medicine Specialization Course
Subject matter
- The labor jurisdiction in the Portuguese judicial organization;
- The Labour Code and related regulations: particular aspects related to the health and safety of workers at the workplace;
- Sources of labor law;
- The employment contract: concept and characterization;
- The promotion of safety and health at work: its legal
- The legal coverage of occupational hazards:
- The work accident and occupational disease: characterization and distinction legal;
- The assessment of disability: a medico-legal expertise and Table National Disability;
- The repair-rehabilitation: benefits in cash and in kind;
- Reclassification professional victim incapacitated for the performance of their normal occupation: reflections in the employment contract;
- Special proceedings arising out of accidents at work and occupational diseases.
