Objectives
1- Advanced knowledge in gastroenterology, nephrology, haematology, dermatology, endocrinology, oncology, ophthalmology, Intensive Care, including diagnosis and treatment, both in theory and practice; observation of transplant programmes. 2- Expertise for autonomous clinical interview and observation, diagnosis, and treatment options for prevalent diseases, particularly those with higher severity or requiring rapid intervention in the above mentioned clinical areas. 3- Identification of emergency situations requiring referral for intensive care or fast track reference: Coronary, Cerebro Vascular, Trauma, Sepsis. |

Teaching method
Total of 28 large group teaching classes, and about 30 small group classes; ward teaching including direct daily observation of in-patients, and attendance to the various clinical activities (meetings, discussions) in the Unit. Public presentation of clinical cases, and critical discussion.
Evaluation method
Formal practical assessment of the work and insolvent in the daily ward duties and clinical presentations. Formal written exam (100 multiple choice questions). The practical assessment represents 60% of the final classification and written exam 40%. Minimal classification is mandatory in all areas and assessments.
