None.
Subject matter
From the fifteenth century to the sixteenth century, the possibility of building a history of culture and mentality .
The houses : a concept very different of intimacy.
Marriage : from popular to the bourgeoisie through the nobility .
The concept of Private and Public in those times.
The Palace : the king and the court , royal experiences.
The festivals : festivals , carnivals, saints.
Portugal ´s political point of view in the sixteenth century : pride and prejudice .
The ideological crossroads of the encounter between the medieval mentality and the mentality of Discoveries.
The food as a reflection of social, cultural and economic differences .
The concept of child as man / woman in small size.
Diseases and plague : death at those time
Lisbon ecstatic , one of the most important cities in the world and the 1580 crisis

Teaching method
The curricular unit theoretical contents will be exposed during the class first part.
On the second part will be a interaction so that the learners can participate.
Evaluation method
The evaluation is carried out in two written tests, the first in the middle of the semester and the second on the final (50% each).
