Objectives

It is expected that the student:
a) Be able to define the nature and the main trends of the History of Ideas
b) Identify and list the main themes of the History of Ideas
c) Understand the complexity of the sources and speeches of the History of Ideas
d) Review the process of interpretation and writing of the History of Ideas.
e) Appreciate the specificity of multiple approaches to the History of Ideas
f) Perception of the importance of the History of Ideas in the political, religious, philosophical, literary and scientific.

Teaching method

Classroom sessions will include lectures about themes and issues and discussions based on scheduled readings.

Evaluation method

Students´ oral participation in class presentations and debates (30%) and writing an essay, structured as a paper (70%).
