Education objectives

The postgraduate program in Enterprise Information Systems developed in partnership with Microsoft, covers technological, functional and management aspects, and trains experts in the adoption and use of operational information systems capable of contributing to the excellence of organizations.

The program addresses concepts related to the design, development, and management of information systems in organizations and how they can become more competitive and ecient through their use.

Today, companies need solid knowledge of operational information systems to explore them as competitive advantages. Businesses expect information systems to accelerate the development of new products and services, to support monitoring and control, improve relationships with customers, partners, and suppliers potentiate Business Intelligence platforms.

This program addresses concepts related to the design, development, and management of information systems in organizations, and how they can become more competitive and efficient through their use.

The partnership with Microsoft allows including computer labs in the different courses in which students have the opportunity to explore the several solutions (Microsoft Dynamics, NAV, and CRM, SharePoint, Azure, and others) hands-on. 

Applications
To complete the application, the applicant must register in NOVA IMS' Applications Portal, fill the form, upload their Curriculum Vitae and submit the application in the end, from January 5th to 28th, 2016. The selection process is based on the analysis of the applicant's academic and professional curriculum, and an interview.

Access conditions

<p> The requirements for the applications are: </p> <p>A degree in a compatible field;</p> <p>Analysis of the applicants' academic and professional curriculum;</p> <p>Interview conducted by the Admissions' Jury Panel.</p>

Degree pre-requisites

To earn the postgraduate program diploma in Enterprise Information Systems, students complete 8 course units, of which 6 are mandatory and the 2 elective course units will be chosen by the students from a wide range of available course units. 

Access to other courses

The postgraduate program gives access to the master degree program in Information Management, with a specialization in Information Systems and Technologies Management, by developing a scholarly thesis, a work project or undertake an internship and also the approval of the course units:

  • Architectures for Information Technology;
  • Information Projects Management;
  • Knowledge Management;
  • Research Methodologies. 


Note: the enrollment in the postgraduate program allows the student to enroll in ten course units.
