Objectives

At the end of the course students should: 1. Have the essential knowledge related to Organization and Management of Health Services, particularly in the areas of health policy, organizational and financing models of health services, performance evaluation of health services ; health economics, economic evaluation and health quality; 2. To have the basic skills to develop studies on the above issues; 3. Have the expertise to understand the main challenges faced by those who have health care management responsibilities.

Teaching methods include lectures and seminars based on the discussion of concrete cases.

Evaluation method

Students are evaluated through two optional models:

a. Elaboration of an assignment.

b. Presentation and discussion of a research project.

Attendance of at least 75% of classes is required.
