Objectives

The aim of this curricular unit is to develop knowledge and understanding of the core metabolic processes. At the end of this unit students should demonstrate knowledge of histology and physiology of the musculoskeletal system and of the core characteristics of the central and peripheral nervous system, related to the neuromuscular control. It also aims to promote in-depth knowledge of the three-dimensional organization and functional anatomy of the different regions of the human body, through theoretical study and supervised practice of cadaveric dissection, which facilitates the establishment of anatomical-clinical and anatomical-functional correlations.

Prerequisites

Musculoskeletal conditions

Subject matter

Syllabus:

- Anatomy of the musculoskeletal, neurological, vascular and lymphatic systems;

- Physiology of the musculoskeletal, neurological, vascular and lymphatic systems;

- Physiopathology of the locomotor system;

- Cadaveric dissection;

- Anatomical-clinical and anatomical-functional relationships.
