Objectives
1. Knowledge and understanding of the the role and purpose of human resources management (HRM) within the organizations;
2. Understanding of the the evolution of HRM during the 20th century within the main economic / political and social changes;
3 Understanding of the different HRM subsystems and the respective operational modes and approaches;
4. Ability to build and operate competence roles and models interconnecting them with different HRM subsystems;

Teaching method
The combination of theoretical and practical classes provides students the opportunity to integrate theories, concepts and approaches, applying the knowledge in practical real situations. All topics of the program are subject to one or more lectures, intersected with the same number of classes. Each lecture explains the concepts, theoretical framework, models and approaches. In the lectures the students are encouraged to interact and questioning.
In classes we the work understanding, discussion, and oral and written expression, as well as experience and adoption into everyday reality of students. The classes are organized around cases that must be previously read, serving for the discussion upon structured questions. Throughout the semester are distributed three real cases for integration of concepts, discussion and decision-making of the group.
Evaluation method
