Objectives
a) Understanding of the structural and phenomenological problems. Evaluation of myths which underlie 18th-century German literature.
b) In-depth analysis of selected texts.
Prerequisites
Good knowledge of German.
Subject matter
During the course of the 18th century German literary language slowly took shape and became a sign of national identity: Individualism, originality, concern with the self and its limits.
The diferent overlapping periods of 18th century German literature: Early Enlightenment, Rokoko, Literature of Sensibility and Storm and Stress, Late Enlightenment, Weimar Classicism, Early Romanticism.

Teaching method
The teaching method is mainly reflexive and oriented to the contents of the CU. Students will present and discuss key texts and documents of the workshop.
Evaluation method
A mid-term test (25%) and a final test (25%). Participation in class is mandatory and includes an oral presentation.(50%)
