Objectives
a)To reflect, from a theoretical perspective, and to produce critical analysis on cultural and literary issues and topics of French expression in a multicultural and transdisciplinary context.
b)To acquire vocabulary, methods and concepts for a bibliographic and academic guided research towards topics of French expressions literature and culture, established according to the students interests and line of studies.
c)To develop research abilities in the literary and cultural studies field.
d)To complete an autonomous research work.
Prerequisites
Intermediate level knowledge of the French language.

Teaching method
Lectures about different topics of the syllabus.
Discussion of papers.
Supervision, focused on preparing and carrying out a research paper.
Assessment of knowledge implies a minimum of 2/3 of class attendance as well as the submission of a research paper which should show knowledge of the issues covered as well as the ability to deal in a critical manner with the concepts covered in the course.
Evaluation method
Submission of an essay in the areas of the seminar:
- Writing assignment (80%);
- Oral presentation and defence of the assignment (20%).
