Objectives

The main goals of the internship are:
1. To strengthen the students’ education in the domain of language sciences.
2. To connect the knowledge acquired during the undergraduate program with various activities in the domain of language sciences.
By the end of the internship, students should:
3. Design the work to be developed.
4. Collect the empirical data to be analyzed which are relevant to the planned work.
4. Master organizing and analysis practices using the appropriate resources and tools.
5. Select the appropriate theoretical proposals.
6. Write a final report.

None

Subject matter

The items of the syllabus vary depending on the work plan designed by the student and defined under supervision.
The student carries out his internship in one of CLUNL’s research groups.
The work to be developed, in accordance with the defined objectives, should be framed by the research of the internship supervisor. The topics of the research should include more theoretical and more practical approaches.
As possible research topics for the framing of the activities to be carried out, we mention: language acquisition (L1 and / or L2), texts and discourses, text genres, collecting and description of affixes and other word formatives, data collection and analysis, building of databases, a. o.
The final report should present the results of the internship activities and also evidence the student’s participation in his supervisor’s individual and team research.

Teaching method

The internship is supervised by a teacher, who respects the tutorial supervision rules defined in the program.

Evaluation method

The evaluation is calculated after the assessment of the final report and of its public discussion (100%). The jury who evaluates the report comprise, apart from the supervisor, the responsible of the undergraduate program and a teacher or researcher of the research unit.
