Objectives
a) To acquire in-depth knowledge of the state of the art in the particular field chosen by the student; b) Understand the relationship of that field with all the disciplines of the humanities and enhance the sense of interdisciplinary relationship in research work; c) To acquire the ability to propose innovative and new conceptualizations readings; d) To acquire ability to prepare research work in the specific area in a doctoral level.

Subject matter
The specialty seminar will take place divided into specific versions according to the specialty of the students. The subject content will therefore be defined depending on the specialty, following this pattern: a) Topics on the current situation of the studies (literature, culture, comparatists, etc.); b) topic on the inclusion of that specifi branch of studies in the Humanities: history and present relevance; c) Major seminar topic: this is the main theme of the seminar, to be defined by the teacher each year, considering the reearch prospects of the students.

Teaching method
The seminar articulates two types of methodologies: the first corresponding to the purpose of the state of the art in the discipline fundamentally consists of lectures dedicated to outstanding texts of this state of the art; the second corresponds to the typical seminar work and will be adopted in the main theme of the seminar, that is, reading and discussion of texts with presentations by the students themselves.
Evaluation method
The student participation in the seminar work will have a weighting of 60% of the final grade. The final essay, written in the main topic of the seminar, will represent 60%.
